Bikie gang link to shots fired at Wynn Vale house

A HIGH-RANKING member of the Mongols bikie gang lives at a home targeted in a drive-by shooting at Wynn Vale, neighbours say.

Residents reported hearing five or six shots fired into a Wilkins Ct house, believed to be the home of Mongols SA president Andrew Majchrak, before a vehicle screeched away just before 1.30am on Tuesday.

Detectives from the Crime Gangs Task Force are investigating but would not confirm whether a bikie gang feud is escalating.

A neighbour, who did not want to be named, thought the loud bangs were a break-in.

“I put on my dressing gown and had a look around... (but) other than the security lights were on, there were no signs of a break-in,” he said.

Another neighbour said there had been several visits by police at the house in the past few months. A northern suburbs house Majchark was previously living at was the target of a drive-by shooting several days after a suspected Mongols member, Pero Mileusnic, was shot in the leg at his St Clair home on February 19. Two Hells Angels associates are facing charges on the St Clair shooting. Police previously said tensions between the two gangs had “subsided”. A number of people were inside the Wynn Vale house at the time of the shooting but were not injured. Several small bullet holes were visible at the front of the home.
