Orange County Choppers
The 2005 SEMA show rocked to the beat of a supercharged Shelby G.T.500E from Unique Performance and a custom made Unique Performance Shelby Super Snake chopper built by famed motorcycle shop Orange County Choppers. The electric yellow Shelby Super Snake ordered by Paul Teutul Sr. of the hit Discovery Channel show “American Chopper” was exchanged in Las Vegas for a custom “Shelby G.T.500E” motorcycle built by the legendary bike maker.
“This was the first meeting of America’s chopper and America’s muscle car,” said Douglas Hasty, President of Unique Performance. “Everyone at SEMA fell in love with the two fantastic vehicles which combined the talents of Carroll Shelby, the Teutuls and Unique Performance team for the first time in history.”
The crew of “American Chopper” filmed the important moment for a two-hour episode of the hit show that followed the car and motorcycle from construction to delivery. The segments will air during the 2005 season.

Carroll Shelby built only one GT500 ‘Super Snake’ in 1967, which became the king of performance at the time,” said Paul Teutul Sr. “I’m honored to have created a ‘one-off’ bike that salutes the G.T.500E Super Snake, which is a modern evolution of that legendary car.”
Built for Shelby by Unique Performance, the car is the most powerful production Shelby (based on a Ford Mustang) ever offered to the public. Each features an aluminum Shelby 427 engine, Unique Performance rear suspension, Tremec transmission and other modern performance enhancements.
With an optional supercharger, the Shelby churns out 725+ HP. Only 75 total will be built; each receives a Shelby I.D. and will be included in the next Shelby American World Registry. Available through dealers nationwide, MSRP of the Shelby G.T.500E Super Snake begins at US $159,000.
